Importance of bike registration certificate and How to obtain it

Proof of ownership: It serves as a proof of ownership of the vehicle and can be used to claim insurance or to sell the vehicle.

Identification: The RC contains important information about the vehicle, such as the make, model, engine number, and registration number, which can be used to identify the vehicle.

Road tax: It is mandatory to pay road tax for using a vehicle on public roads, the RC serves as a proof of the payment of road tax.

To obtain a Bike registration certificate, the following steps should be followed:

Purchase of the vehicle: The registration process begins with the purchase of the vehicle.

Form 28 and Form 29: After purchasing the vehicle, the dealer will provide you with Form 28 (Application for Registration of a Motor Vehicle) and Form 29 (Notice of Transfer of Ownership of a Motor Vehicle).

Submit the forms: Submit the forms along with the required documents to the nearest Regional Transport Office (RTO).

Inspection: The RTO will inspect the vehicle to ensure that it meets the necessary safety and pollution standards.

Payment of fee: After the inspection, the fee for registration will have to be paid.

Issuance of RC: Once the fee is paid, the RTO will issue the Bike registration certificate.
